Jan’s Joyhouse

Based in New York, Jan Percival is a consultant, media contributor, public speaker, writer, and executive coach with an extensive background in leadership training, workforce development, curriculum development, public speaking, grants management, federal funds management, compliance and reporting, communications and marketing, media training, and nonprofit strategy. 

As CEO and Founder of 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗝𝗼𝘆𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲, Jan inspires and equips organizations, teams, and individuals with effective strategies and tools to successfully create a transformational lifestyle professionally and personally.

Bresilience means taking Bravery + resilience and turning tough times, traumas, and tragedies into tenacious triumphs. Jan provides effective and practical techniques for navigating career transitions and layoffs, mental health challenges, life-threatening illnesses, pregnancy losses, breast cancer, and other topics with relentless optimism, humor, and joy.

Prior to launching 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗝𝗼𝘆𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲, she was a Public Service senior-level executive at Accenture where she led global teams that delivered effective solutions for clients in the government, education, and nonprofit sectors.

Jan taught an upper-level marketing course for four years at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business. Earlier in her career, she was the Director of Marketing & Public Relations for the Graduate School of Admissions at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Jan is a trained coach through the Robin Hood Executive Leadership Development Program and helps clients elevate their careers. She serves on Covenant House New Jersey’s Board of Directors, and has served on other boards including Cool Culture, the High School for Environmental Studies, and Morningside Montessori School in the nonprofit, education, and arts sectors. 

Jan earned her master's degree in communications from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Brandcenter and her bachelor's degree in communications from Syracuse University’s S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
